As I mentioned on the crackberry post, I was heading out for tapas on Friday with a new friend I’d met at the AWC lunch. First Traci and I met for a drink and were later joined by T’s husband and Nog. Las Golondrinas (which means The Swallows in English) is one of my favourite tapa bars. And the new second location we went to on Friday night had the very same excellent food. But what was missing for me was the charm and cosiness of the original place. Still, a lovely time was had by all and you can check out the photos here…
[updating a few hours later…]
I thought I’d also add photos taken at ay Maricrú yesterday afternoon when Nog and I went out for lunch before going to see No Country For Old Men. (photos 15-17) . I don’t know why but I get a lot more blurry pics with the new camera, even though it has an ‘anti-shake’ option. I wonder if it’s because it’s so small and not as solid as the old one to hold onto. I almost never got blurry photos with the old one. 😦
I left a comment over there. I like the nice yellow comment box 🙂

Love the pictures! The food looks great, and I especially like all the square plates. The chocolate cake looks pretty yummy.

The square plates belong to ay Maricrú. They are very pretty but have a tendency to get chipped on the corners. Did you see the post about the piece of cake, WC?
I’ve toned down the colours a bit on the tapa blog, nursemyra. So you don’t think the yellow comment box is TOO yellow? I would have changed that too if I could have figured out how to do it.
CJ asked me a question about my camera problem over on the tapa blog, but I thought it best to answer it here and keep the comments there mostly about the food.
It’s my new camera and I have it on auto-anti-shake, auto-ISO sensitivity, auto-WB. I sometimes have it on auto-flash, but mostly I prefer to not use the flash. On Sunday I tried it without the auto-anti-shake and it was even worse – more than half the photos came out blurry.

You haven’t inadvertantly set it on Macro, or something?

Macro? Wassat?
I had problems again when I tried taking photos a couple of days ago. I now have to take 4-5 pics of each tapa just to make sure one turns out – never had this problem with the old camera.

Macro – it often has a flower symbol, and is for taking extreme closeups ( a few cm.s at most), which might make what would otherwise be normal photos blurry.
Just a guess.
