Remember the Kindle?
I saw on Twitter the other day that Pauline had ordered a couple of these new Kindle 2 models and, shallow gadget-crazy being that I am, was immediately entranced by the new sleek design. Rather “Apple-ish”, don’t you think? Lucky for me the Kindle is still only available in the US though, as Pauline points out, it is very good for travelling if you “stock up” on books before you go. You can read her blog post for more Kindle information. I’ll just look at the pictures. 🙂

Honestly, I just forgot!
Pablo insists that he reminded me when we got together on my birthday, but as I don’t even remember going to bed that night I think expecting me to remember a birthdate was a bit overly optimistic. Especially as Pablo & I have only recently started seeing each other again, after about six years of not being in touch (otherwise his birthday would be in my trusty daybook). But never mind. Yesterday I made amends by making Pablo a belated birthday lunch including his favourite casa az dish – spaghetti carbonara. Well, except I used tallarines (in English?) because I’ve recently come across a brand I really like. An arrugula salad and garlic bread on the side, a glass or two of cava … it was very nice.

And that is going to be our room! Cute, huh?
It all started when Pip and I went on the unplanned road trip last October (for those who weren’t here at the time, here is Part One and Part Two) … the running joke was that, since there was no plan, that we should just hop on a ferry and go to Morocco. And we might have actually done it if we’d had more than one night away, but Pip had to get back. And so we decided that we would definitely have to go to Morocco before I started chemo again, maybe for my birthday. But as you all know now, things have changed since then…

Most people think Twitter was “created” in 2006. These are same people who think Richard Gere created Buddhism in the 1990’s. Just before Madonna created yoga. Folks, like the sun, moon, and stars, Twitter has always been. This site proves it beyond a shadow of a doubt.
