Imagine our delight yesterday when Nog & I got to the apartment and saw how lovely it was. First thing we checked out was the view from the terrace and found there were two: one of the port and another partial view of the sea. Very nice. I can listen to the waves as I sit here writing this out on the terrace after a two-hour siesta. Heaven.
The apartment is also BIG. At least, a lot bigger than casa az. There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a bright pretty kitchen with a little workroom off it and a huge living/dining room area. We’re on the top (13th) floor of the building so there is tons of light. And we’re about a ten-minute walk to the old town centre. It really doesn’t get much better than this.
And the price is right! 😉

Oooooh, looks lovely! Hope you’re having a wonderful time 🙂

The umbrellas on the beach look like little marching mushrooms!

Just beautiful! The views and the apartment look so very appealing. (As does Nog’s beverage. Cheers!)
I’m also amused by the little marching mushrooms noted by sledpress.

I think the mushrooms are for rent, with folding plastic beach loungers, but I have no idea what they cost.
Back from a morning foot soaking in the sea. It’s funny to see how early morning the beach is full of “oldies” (even older than me and Nog!) enjoying the sea air and taking a chilly morning dip. In the afternoons it’s either young hot bods out there getting bronzed or families with lots of kids running around. I much prefer the mornings.
Been having foot problems the past few weeks with quite painful cracking open of skin on heels and big toe areas, which (great timing) got so bad over the weekend that I could barely walk. But after a couple of days soaking my feet in the sea – and continuing to slather on my shea & aloe body butter – they are finally starting to heal. What a relief – the past two days walking around the city have been extremely painful.
The apartment really is terrific. Lots of space, nicely bright & airy, gets a nice sea breeze … and having “his & hers” bathrooms is really going to spoil me. What luxury!
Am missing the boys like crazy though. I’ll probably call Chiara this evening to find out if she’s actually seen them and if Sunny has been taking his meds.
Had brekky “at home” today, out on the terrace. And that’s where I am now, writing this. It’s really like a dream come true.
Now off to climb up a huge mountain to the castle today and take in a Rodin exhibit. Must post some food pics soon (have been Twittering them on my SevillaTapas account).
Hasta pronto!

Furiously jealous of your proximity to the beach and the absolutely wonderful habitation you are enjoying. Have a glass of rioja for me, won’t you?

The apartment looks wonderful and the view fantastic! Lucky you! The mosquitos are wearing parkas here, it’s so cold.

Well, it’s almost over, though I’m still trying to decide whether to stay on until Tuesday when Nog leaves tomorrow. Part of me thinks a couple of days on my own might be refreshing. Another part worries that I’ll just feel alone and lonely. And yet another part thinks that going home to cats and routine – and starting the new fitness regimen on Monday – would be the best thing.
Decisions, decisions …
