Today’s Photohunter theme is “orange”.
The pre-digital camera pic above shows the orange trees in my street being harvested. And below is a photo of my very orange bedroom (before I got the new headboard). The colour orange is also quite prevalent on this blog, as you have probably noticed. And also on my azahar and Sevilla Tapas blogs, and my two Twitter accounts. It’s my favourite happy colour to look at (favourite happy colour to wear is red), and I have it on good authority that it’s a really good colour to use for getting people to purchase items online. Then there is my online name, which is Spanish for orange blossom, though the flowers are actually white and look like this. Apparently my love is not orange, but the colour orange I am is … well, orange. Take the quiz…

Right there in your street. I’m bowled over.

Ahhhhh, such memories. Even though the picture is of the harvest, I could almost smell the orange trees in blossom–after all it is spring time down here in Oz. I would have to say that this week’s theme suits you well.

Yeah, that was just below my bedroom balconies. During harvest time lots of oranges end up getting squished so the streets smell like fresh orange juice. 🙂

I love the first picture. I want to pick oranges too within my backyard. And the room, I’m contemplating to change our yellow room to orange. It looks great.

The walls in my bedroom are actually a very very pale vanilla yellow. It’s the little lamp with the orange paper shade that is casting such an orangy glow, and of course the dark orange bedcover kind of dominates the room.

Wow, I would love to have an orange tree at home. But we don’t have a big backyard.
Nice photos though.

I had a neighbour who promised me her orange tree which was something like 35 years old, when she moved out west. I had mentioned this to my sister and two days later I found “my” tree at my sister’s house… I was so angry, especially as “my” tree ended up being thrown out when my sister moved out west a couple of winters ago.
I finally got around to posting something this week.
