Easily said when you’re not an almost 53-year-old woman who’s had a hysterectomy, three major abdominal surgeries in 7 months, and has gone through chemo twice. The hormones and metabolism are quite seriously fucked at this point. So it’s more a question of eating differently, not less.
Case in point. For the past five years Nog has been eating exactly the same things I eat – though usually more – and he has trouble not losing weight. He has to make sure he has extra snacks, high-calorie yoghurt drinks, etc to maintain his weight, and he is still barely 70 kilos soaking wet.
Anyhow, the low-carb thing isn’t just about losing weight, but also about feeling better in general. And it seems to suit me better if, as much as possible, I don’t mix carbs & proteins at the same meal.
Ha! I just spent the day fishing with my step father and came home with 10 pounds of salmon and 20 of cod. Life is good (although it rained). (Hint, hint- I secretly found out through this particular computertator that her nom de digital is Cerirod on Hootoo. Ha! Tread carefully, she’ll bite my head off if she finds out I let it slip!) Cheers to all! I continue my mini vacation. Az- be good AND be careful and be happy.
Nog has a colonoscopy coming up on Monday so he’s going to have to do that three-day “no fruit, veg or carbs” diet beforehand. So low-carb will be changed to no-carb for a couple of days.
Looks pretty good to me!

Looks like a wonderful meal. Fish is a huge part of our diet. We love it in all but breaded form.

I heard some eating advice recently.
Eat food.

Who are you talking about, zoomer?
Be careful? That doesn’t sound like any fun!
