Been up on a few fab rooftops lately … above was with my friend Alejandra last week. We were at the Doña Maria Hotel (where I had also ended up with Annie Bennett a couple of weeks ago during our extreme tapeo) and this was the view I was looking at…
Then the other day Nog and I discovered another rooftop,
at the Fontacruz Hotel, which is now my favourite.
Life is good…

Damn, if you can put your feet on the table that is an establishment I would appreciate.

Yeah, that was rather naughty of me – next time I’ll go for one of the lounge sofas. But it really is lovely sitting up on the roof once things cool down somewhat and there is a bit of a breeze.
Also cool to wander around and see other people’s rooftop terraces – it’s a whole other world up there. Some even have small wading pools – imagine how fabulous that would be! I knew a guy here with one of those small pools that he used as a swimming pool by rigging up a kind of bungee harness thing so that he could swim on the spot. I’d be happy enough just to be immersed in cool water while sipping a frozen margarita…

Heh, I think Ale took about a dozen pics that night and these two were the only usable ones. You’ll notice that I’m not looking into the camera so there is no “full frontal fat face” thing happening … okay, shutting up now…

hanging out on a rooftop with a cool beverage on a hot evening seems like a civilized thing to do.

It’s quite lovely and peaceful, though I’m not sure how it would be if the rooftop was FULL. I guess the trick is to get there early.

You look gorgeous, as do those sandals 🙂 And the rooftops don’t look half bad, either – especially since we’ve currently enjoying ferocious storms here in Sydney. My brain nearly got blown out through my ears on my walk home last night!

Well, both me and my sandals have seen better days, and also look better in dim lighting – definitely the last summer for those red Mephistos. I shall miss them.
Sounds like you need…
…princess Leia earmuffs!
