Gosh, I don’t find that at all. I wonder is this related at all to the Myers Briggs personality types, specifically P versus J – Ps are the spontaneous spur-of-the-moment guys that Js like me envy, as we methodically tick off the items on our spreadsheet (expressing annoyance at those who tick on the right hand side of the listed items, because it’s much easier if the tick’s on the left as then your eye only has to move down in a straight line, not zig-zag in and out….)
I also use the Tickable List trick every now and then. That’s the only times I actually manage to get things done, amusingly (so why don’t I do it every time, you may wonder? Well, I first need to get some nice clean paper, carefully think through – preferably over a cup of coffee – which items will be on the list, ….)
I’m currently doing a home learning course and the current assignment is really daunting, I keep procrastinating, finding other things to do. Yesterday I realised I really needed to hoover the stairs, a job I really hate, and hey presto! I’ve made a start on the assignment. So the answer is always to have something else in the background which is even worse.
Still gotta get the doghairs off the stair carpet though. Hey ho.
I find I tend to get a lot of the little “c-list” jobs done instead of tackling the A-List ones I should be doing. It doesn’t actually make any sense since I am quite enjoying the A-List jobs, but I guess they take a bit more thinkin & stuff. And of course the longer I put them off the more stressed I get about them not getting done, so then I go and water the plants…
With advancing age, a state of constant over workedness and a body and mind that don’t obey me the way they used to – I’m getting more and more of a procrasinator. More easily distracted, more prone to postpone things and less motivated in general.
and nice distracted me form getting my stuff done for a few minutes. It has suddenly become really important for me to share that video with everyone I know! Class!
HEY! How dare he spy on me!

I would comment properly but there are some things I need to do first so I am not interrupted while I am commenting.

Yep, the video’s very true for me too. In fact, right now I should be cleaning my flat, but first….
