So it took me ages to find the post where I first mentioned that I was planning to write an e-book… back in September 2009!!! Good grief. I know I can procrastinate but this is a bit ridiculous. Well oh yeah, there was the getting over chemo thing, plus rebuilding my life and creating a whole new career for myself. And then moving house and blah, blah, blah…
Anyhow, I started an outline for my e-book recently and was surprised to discover that there are several ways I could probably go with this. But first I’m going to get all the material together and see where that takes me.
It also turns out that a lot of it is pretty much already written, so it will mostly be a question of doing re-writes and editing and then playing with OpenOffice and getting it all on PDF and all that. I’m actually quite excited. Will keep you posted!
Do we get a clue as to what this ebook is about? 🙂

Looks interesting but a writer I follow on twitter has had Very Bad Luck using Scrivener. I will check it out again when I’ve got all my material organised.

I guess I thought that my subject matter would be obvious… a Sevilla Tapas guide! Well, as I say, there are several options I am looking at right now, such as whether to also make it a short city guide. There could also be more than one e-book involved: a quick guide to tapas and a more involved book about gastronomy and wine. And an even more ambitious city guide book working with a partner that would include hotels and other touristy info.
But the important thing is to get started, which I have done! 🙂
Just taking info from my website (which will be re-written and edited) I’m already up to 3500 words and I haven’t even started describing the tapas bars and the food yet! So maybe there are a few e-book options there.
