Flamenquin con salmorejo (Córdoba) | Gazpachuelo (Málaga)
Andrajos (Jaén) | Tortilla de Sacromonte (Granada)
Yep, the things I do for my public. This was not just lunch but a tapas tour around Andalucía. Andalucía is one of Spain’s 17 autonomous regions, comprising eight provinces. As a very clever way of celebrating Andalucía day (this Friday) Juanlu at La Pepona came up with the idea of offering one traditional tapa from each Andalusian province. And here they are!
Olla de trigo (Almería) | Tortillitas de Camarones (Cádiz)
Huevos a la flamenca (Seville) | Habas con chocos (Huelva)
I was aided in this endevour (which I could never have managed on my own!) by Peter @SVQconcierge and Markus @veoapartment. We fearlessy tasted each provincial delight for you, including crunchy pig’s ear and BRAINS. Thanks guys!
I think I’ve picked out the crunchy pig’s ear but which is the brains? (My knowledge of Spanish is non-existent!).

The BRAINS were in the Tortilla de Sacromonte. To be honest, if we hadn’t been told there were BRAINS in the omelette we never would have noticed. Bit mushier than most tortillas though.

Those all look really, really good and I’m really, really hungry. I wish someone would fix me dinner. Or take me out to eat delicious tapas. Sigh. Tonight, I am muy jealous of your cool job. But, I think with my self control, that I would weigh 500 lbs after 6 months so it’s just as well.
Beautiful pictures of these tapas. You are *so* good at this!

Thanks! I do in fact weigh 500 lbs but whatever. Even though I don’t in fact eat everything I photograph. Especially during tapas tours, I may snack on two tapas, have a couple of drinks, but it’s really all about the experience for the clients. Can’t really eat and talk at the same time.
