I am virtually visiting Mallorca over the next week or so, and so far it’s been quite interesting. If you’ve been there and have any stories to share, especially about wineries and great places you’ve visited, fun experiences you’ve had, let me know. 🙂
Went years ago in September. Weather wasn’t great. We were with Pauls brother who had visited there many times before. So we didn’t do all the usual tourist stuff. The Caves of Drax were interesting, especially hearing the orchestra playing but we didn’t get to go on the Soller train which everyone says is fun. A day in Denia was good we had lunch at Richard Bransons hotel La Residencia. Posh and expensive but I remember the food was good. George Sands house and the village around it was interesting. Also Robert Graves Grave in Denia. We had a tasting menu at a gourmet place in the hills near Soller but all I remember was it was so cold they gave everyone blankets for their knees and we asked then to skip a few of the 14 courses cos we just needed to get in the warm. The views were stunning I am told but it was dark when we got there. My top tips…..go to La Palma, see the cathedral and find a few tapas bars to visit! And do the train!
