Yeah, it looked like this today, which was bleak enough. But it was also a bleak day because, yep, another let down re: the Knee Saga. Last month I had the bright idea to ask my GP to make a new appointment with the traumatologist based on the new xrays I had done in November as the ones taken in August hadn’t been done correctly. Due to this and that the GP appt was postponed until today and, although I knew it was a long shot, I’m still disappointed it didn’t work out. I was told, without a hint of irony, that the records show I have been up for a three-month revision since August and so she cannot ask for a new one even though a new test had been done since then because it was for the same thing. Aaargh. I’m so tired. And it hurts.
Goddamn, I am so tired of “medicine by the numbers.” I mean, patient hurts, stuff is not being done, new information is there, DO STUFF. I’m not even sure I understand what she was telling you here, except that the system wasted her time and yours so that she could tell you nothing can be done right now. This is supposed to be “efficiency,” I guess.
It’s not just medicine really, it’s everywhere. I have been trying to get an error in a contract fixed for a week — some unexpected bumf I was sent about authorising a third party to sell my “solar energy credits” (from the new solar panels) on the open market. Only they got my contact info from the contractor, and because I gave the contractor the Cute Engineer’s phone number to iron out some questions because he is a GODDAM RENEWABLE ENERGY ENGINEER, he became THE MAN and suddenly it was His Array in their minds even though only my name is on the contract and the property, and they mixed his contact info up with mine when they passed it along. And no one answers my e-mails. I hate it here.
