I saw this yesterday over on The Generator Blog when I went to look for the Bob Dylan thing (I’d also seen it over at alji’s a few months ago) and decided to make a slide show to put on the front page of my viajando travelblog. It sure helped with my dilemma about what should go on the front page, but I wish there was an option not to have the various buttons on it, especially the ‘More’ one.

Yeah yeah, I know . . . another blog!!!
But I was looking at my sadly abandoned and neglected trips page this afternoon and thought it might be more interesting to have everything together in one place, kind of like I did with the sevilla tapas page, moving it all over here.
The main ‘problemita’ is that the travelblog is going to have way more photos than the tapa blog – and there is no way of doing bulk uploading of photos on WordPress. Which turns uploading a photo album into a most tedious and arduous task (especially like earlier today when I uploaded and posted 58 photos !!! and then found out they were all the wrong size and had to do it all over again!) 
Anyhow, there is only one category even somewhat set up so far – the Barcelona one. I’ve transferred the Barcelona blog post over from here, which talks about the trip – though it still needs to be edited. And there will also be different ‘albums’ (much like how I set them up on Fotki) on separate posts. The only Barcelona album up at the moment is my favourite one, with photos of Casa Batlló. But Nog says 58 photos on a blog post is maybe too much and I should think about editing them down. What do you think?

Desperately trying to get in touch with my inner geek!
It’s gotta be in there somewhere! Anyhow, this is by way of an excuse and an apology for ignoring my own and everyone else’s blogs these past couple of days. I’ve been trying to set up my new website and especially the tapa blog. And I wouldn’t have got anywhere at all without the help of the very generous and knowledgeable Ashish, who has been very patiently helping me re-design the tapa blog.
I now have it doing almost everything I’d like it to do, though we’re still discussing the sidebar and what to do with it. But I must say that it’s been quite interesting and also gratifying. When Ashish sent me some files to download/upload in order to rewrite some stuff … I was actually able to do it! Wow! I felt so proud of myself.
You can have a look and tell me what you think of it so far. The footer still has to be totally re-worked, and Ashish says he can switch the icons on the sidebar for me. It’s really been quite an experience and I’m looking forward to learning even more.

A misnomer as it is clearly International Blog Posting Month. In any case, I’ve just signed up (eep!) after seeing this over on alejna’s blog. Which means that during the month of November I am committed to writing one blog post a day. I reckon I post about 4-5 times a week on average so a few more shouldn’t be too difficult. And now watch me suddenly get total blogger’s block and end up posting a month of quizzes! 😉
There are groups you can join (or you can create one yourself) as well as discussion forums. And so, if you’d like to get in on the fun (?) then visit the NaBloPoMo website and sign up. G’wan, you know you want to . . .
