What are some of yours?

I came across this one earlier and posted in on the bad hair day thread (since it comes from Emo Philips – apparently we share a hairdo) but then thought it would be a good idea to start a separate post for favourite quotes. Anyhow, here is the Emo Philips one…

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle. Then I realised that the Lord doesn’t work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me.

Okay, your turn. f_run.gif

flicks at home!

flicks.jpg At last!

About a month ago our local dvd rental place closed down, to our dismay. As I have no doubt mentioned before, there are very few films shown at the cinemas in Sevilla in original version so we usually have to wait until they are released on dvd as we refuse to watch dubbed films.

So today I had a google around and found a Spanish company that offers home dvd pick up & delivery – and they also offer a 15-day free trial period so we decided to go for it.

And so any film suggestions would be much appreciated. 🙂

hacksaw.gifI don’t think I will . . .

According to this Grauniad article some people in the UK have required emergency medical treatment as a result of watching this film. Could this be true or do you think it’s some sort of ‘Halloween prank’ article?

I thought the original Saw was just another of those low-budget farcical over-the-top horror flicks. And now they’ve made three of them. What do you think the moral issues (if any) are about promoting films that show extremely graphic torture scenes?
