This has been on my mind for some time. Actually for quite a long while, ever since they released the iPhone 6 last year. But by the time I started seriously thinking about upgrading (this past spring) a client told me to wait until they released the iPhone 6S in September. Which actually ended up being in October, but whatever.

It was released. I looked. I wanted. I bought it today. Hello Pippin IV! My lovely Pippin III now looks rather chubby and clumsy in comparison. And there really wasn’t anything wrong with III, but I was keen to get a larger screen and also that sexy camera everyone has been talking about. Plus I’m sure there are other options that I will discover I can’t live without. So yeah. My brand new iPhone. I’m already in love…

Ever since Morcilla ate the iPod deck cord (a promised replacement cord never arrived) I’ve been mostly musicless at home. Also when I travel. I used to bring the travel deck with me. Anyhow, finding a new deck with the old iPod connection has also turned out to be impossible. So I decided to try a free trial for Spotify Premium and so far I like it a lot. Does anyone even buy CDs anymore?

If it isn’t one thing it’s ANOTHER THING. Like updating the iOS in Manzana (my very first iPad). Which I did the other day. But suddenly iOS 9.0.2 started asking me to put in all kinds of crap, including a passcode. Well, I didn’t want a passcode. Manzana never leaves the house and these days is mostly used for browsing. So I thought I’d updated everything okay, but when it rebooted I was asked for a passcode. WTF? I tried my usual one. No luck. Tried another one. Uh-uh. Tried those two again a few more times and suddenly I was locked out. The screen said “i-Pad Disabled” and I had no idea what to do. A bit of googling brought me to this page, which seemed to do the trick. After a few tries. But of course I lost all the photos and had to manually upload Apps again.

So it’s making me think twice about updating the latest Pippin and Manzanilla. Has anyone else had similar update issues?

So I went out for a few groceries this evening and ended up with a new TV! And lucky I have this blog because I was wondering when I bought the last one and a quick search told me it was in May 2008. There’s not anything particularly wrong with the old one, and this one isn’t much bigger (40″ instead of 32″) but it has WiFi and other snazzy features. I’m still not 100 percent sure what tricks this one does and will have to wait until Thursday to find out. Does any of this make sense to you?

Had a lovely night out with Charlie @Dundas15 from Glasgow, whom I’ve known on Twitter for quite awhile now. And this week he is back in town! We met up with Peter for a wee tapeo and I ended up rolling home sometime around 1 am… once again Twitter proves itself to be my most valuable social media tool. I’ve met some amazing people there. And Charlie may end up being a neighbour! That would be nice.
