Wow, I had no idea that I’d started ordering from Amazon so long ago. Though I remember why. Back in the day it was impossible to see any films here in original version, or even rent the orginal versions on video. I also didn’t realise it was possible to go back and trace ALL my Amazon orders until I saw that Beth had done this and found the first thing she’d ever ordered. Unlike Beth, Amazon has never sent me any gifts for being a good customer – after almost ten years you’d think they’d at least send along a little something from my Wish List (like maybe season 8 of 24 😉 ).
Anyhow, my first order was this video of Wilde, which I still have, though I think I also have a DVD version now. This was before I learned that if I ordered three items I got charged the same delivery fee as for one. These days delivery to Spain is free! Progress, eh?
What was your first Amazon order?

This actually fits with Tim’s description of my “invisible writing“, and although I’m not a fan of Stephen King I do happen to like the way he writes. I also thought that his book On Writing was very good. I read it back when I was hoping to finish my novel … ah well.
How about you?

My favourite room in casa az is the living room. And my favourite feature of that room is the built-in bookcase that fills one entire wall. As you can see in this photo, that wall is at an angle, and so the bookshelves were “angled-out” to create more of a straight-line effect. But this means that if the books are actually lined up straight with the edge of the shelves they aren’t flat against the wall on the left-hand side … which leaves a perfect hiding place for sneaky little kittens.

Today’s Photohunter theme is “twelve”.
With this post I have completed my first year as a Photohunter – I did not miss a week! – and I hope to participate as a weekly photohunter for many more years to come. Many thanks to tnchick for making all this possible.
The other day I mentioned a wonderful gift that I’d received in the mail. It was this absolutely splendid book by Robert Sabuda, quite aptly called a “pop-up celebration”. Because as I opened each page I was filled with joy and wonder at the intricate and beautiful displays. And I’d like to share those images with you today, along with wishing you all the best of the season and a very happy new year.
