It’s been close to three weeks since THE MANDOLINA INCIDENT and although I removed the steri-strips the other day since they were mostly falling off on one side, I kept a bandage on the still-healing thumb. Until now! The severed flap of skin has totally reattached itself and although it is still quite pink and the area still feels quite tender, it feels great to be able to use my thumb again. Amazing how you don’t miss something until it’s gone.

This popped up in my ONE YEAR AGO Instagram memories… l was on my way to Madrid and Morcilla clearly didn’t want me to go. So I’m guessing she’s been loving her Covid year and having her human constantly at her beck and call.
It was also a little bittersweet remembering this trip to attend my friend José Pizarro’s book launch, back when it was possible to travel and when I had a job ETC ETC ETC. I wonder how it will feel looking back a year from now.

Saturday night with a difference. First evening at home I’ve had to swap light cotton summer dress for baggy T-shirt and yoga capris. Also had to close the balcony doors. But I had Morcilla keeping my lap warm. 🙂 Think I’ll also be switching to the winter duvet this weekend.
