A lovely bright green package arrived at casa az yesterday that had something for everyone! It was from Karin (aka Dragonqueen), who sent us three locally made jams from Sweden (rhubarb, gooseberries and carrot with red currant) and a cute selection of cat toys. At first I thought the mice might be a “swallow hazzard” but what I didn’t expect was that Loki would go totally mental over them. Luna likes them too, but Loki can’t seem to get enough of his little purple mice (Karin’s signature colour).
So then I thought I’d try exchanging mice for string and suddenly the String Game took on a whole other dimension. And it looked eerily real when Loki trotted back down the stairs with a limp mouse in his mouth (well, real except that the mouse was purple).
Thanks so much Karin! Your gifts have really added some extra fun to the holiday season here. So now Peter and I can share the jams at breakfast and the kittehs can fight over their new toys. 🙂

Isn’t this the greatest? You may recall that there was an intriguing prettily-wrapped gift in Sledpress‘s Christmas package, and I don’t know how I did it, but I actually managed to hold off opening it until Christmas Eve… and it was a Corkcicle!
Well, you could have knocked me over with a feather. Yeah, I know I posted something here about it, but it never occurred to me that someone would actually get one and sneakily send it to me for Christmas.
As you can see, Loki loves it too because it’s orange like him (extra nice touch with Sled picking out my favourite colour). I can’t wait now for BBQs on the rooftop.
What was your favourite Christmas present this year?

Taken at last night’s Flamenco & Tapas Tour.
I also got about 50 pics of total blurs…

A Christmas card especially for Sledpress, who thinks Christmas is a load of bull. 😉
I took this photo at my friend MarÃa Paz’s bar Gago 6 yesterday when Peter and I were out and about spreading (and partaking of) a bit of Christmas cheer by visiting a few of our favourite tapas bars. Today we’ll have a quiet afternoon in and then I’ll be taking out a Flamenco & Tapas Tour starting at 6.30 pm. Quite looking forward to that. And now it’s time to break open the cava, open presents, and have a nice Christmas brunch…
