Barbate Market

On the final day of my Vejer Getaway I got to fulfill two long desired wishes… to visit the market in Barbate and eat at El Campero (aka Tuna Heaven). Annie @cookinginspain very generously drove us down from Vejer and we spent a pleasant time in the market before heading over to El Campero for lunch. Which was spectacular. Two of those photos down there (top left and centre) actually belonged to our bar neighbours, who didn’t mind me snapping a couple of photos. But truly, the very best tuna Almadraba (morrillo and ventresca) I have ever tasted. It was a great afternoon and a perfect way to finish the getaway.

El Campero
