mandated

This makes me happy. Our health minister has announced that the mask mandates presently in place will continue until at least next spring. This means that masks must be worn everywhere inside (except when you are seated at a table eating or drinking) and – listen up people! – you can go without a mask outdoors ONLY IF YOU MAINTAIN 1.5 METRES BETWEEN YOU AND EVERYBODY ELSE. It’s this last one that hasn’t been adhered to since the tourists starting piling back into Spain. And yes, some locals also flout this rule, but it is mostly tourists. Anyhow… this is a huge relief. I’m glad we’re not going the way of the US and UK on this one. ๐Ÿ˜ท

By the way, these are the masks I’ve been buying. Locally made by Daysan and excellent quality, about 10โ‚ฌ for 50 masks. Time to place another order…

So it’s been a fun month, getting back to my beloved Sevilla Tapas Tours – even had a Sevilla Sherry Tasting last week! – and it’s all been great. It’s still very poco รก poco, with restrictions slowly being lifted and all that. Of course this also means the greedy Tour Whores are out in full force, trying to cram large groups into small spaces, many of whom copied my tours but forgot the most important part – to respect both your clients and the bars you take them to. They don’t give a shit that their big noisy groups and shrill guides totally disrupt the nice local buzz, or even that they are loathed by all, including the bar owners.

But in spite of them, I’ve been having such a wonderful time, getting back into this thing I love so much. Let’s see what happens moving forward.

night (2)

I have missed this so much. Coming home after a tapas tour or a night out with friends. It’s happening more often these days and I love it. Look how pretty my Sevilla is at night!
