Nah, I just don’t like using the word *meme* for these thingys as it’s an internet bastardization of what Richard Dawkins actually meant when he first coined the term.
But as long as I can call them thingys then I usually find them quite fun. 🙂

Oh, I doubt it, nursemaya. 🙂
Well, if it meant you actually had to do it.
I was 18 at the time and it wasn’t at all interesting – I didn’t do any of the snazzy satin interior upholstery stuff. I was in charge of stapling plain grey cotton to the outside of the cheapest pine boxes.
The only good thing about the job was that the old babes who had been working there as long as I’d been alive always listened to the country music radio station. I thought at first I might go totally mad … until I started hearing the gems. Granted, there was a lot of crap in between, but that job was a serious education in country music (adding to what I’d learned growing up in northern Manitoba as a child).

hmmm…. ok… you’ve reworked my fantasy of being knee deep in scarlet satin….

Sorry to spoil your fantasy further, nursemyra, but I also never saw any scarlet satin. It was always white or cream where I worked. But doing the satin interior work was very creative – it was quite amazing what those two women could do with a piece of satin and a staple gun.

Don’t worry – it’ll probably show up six months from now.
You know you have to link to the post and not just the blog, right?
