Well, maybe one day I’ll get some photos of Cádiz with blue skies … but we were actually quite lucky with the weather, as far as rainy days go. The first rain shower happened just before lunch, which put the kibosh on our original plan to eat at the same beachside restaurant Nog & I had gone to three years ago. But as a result we happened upon Casa Tino near the market and had a delightful selection of tapas there. When the second rain shower hit we took shelter in an Irish pub, which was all decked out for Halloween, and consumed both Irish coffee and Irish whisky before lurching to the station to catch our train. But other than that the weather was very pleasant and the company was even better.
We had a great day!

Well, Cádiz is such a great place for walking. There are lots of parks and beaches, and the centre of town has a lot of pedestrian shopping streets. I’ve only ever been there on day trips and I’m told it’s worth staying over at least one night as it apparently has quite a different ‘ambientation’ at night. Maybe next time.
