Karin with Loki last night on the sofabed, giving him a goodnight kiss. Azar was NOT amused by this overnight guest business and spent most of the time sulking in the bedroom.
So Karin (dragonqueen) is now winging her way home – Jean-Marie (ToyBox) left on Sunday – and it’s time to get back to normal around here. Which means catching up on my SimonSeeks stuff and doing a tapas tour tonight with Spanish chef José Pizarro, who will soon be opening his own restaurant in London.
It was a great mini-meet and a fabulous trip to Granada (thanks again, K!). I’ve uploaded some photos though they are still mostly unedited. Click on the link below to have a look.
Loki looks like he’s loving the attention….

He’s gigantic.

He IS massive, but Karin knows how to pick up a cat. He actually stayed in that position for awhile, letting her kiss him on the head and rub his belly. 🙂
Latest on Twitter is that the dragon has landed and is back safe and sound in the lair.
That’s another thing I did – set up Twitter accounts for both dq and toybox – you can see them if you click on the links in the post.

Not that I’m very active on twitter (yet!). For the moment it looks I’m still out eating ;-D

One of our cats does not like guests at all. She will crawl into the sofa and stay there. There is a lump on the bottom of the sofa, but don’t go there.

Benjamin is wary of guests and usually stays out of sight but watching. He will come out to sniff guests if they are sitting down but I have to warn them not to reach for him or he’ll scratch.
I don’t know why he’s like that except that we don’t have a lot of people in and out of our house. I remember once when he was about a year or so old and my ex-husband’s department head came by before they headed out to the Aboriginal Day festivities. My husband locked Benjamin in the kitchen and said that his boss didn’t like cats. I went into the kitchen and Benjamin was out like a shot, straight down the hallway, and leapt up the woman’s lap and onto the arm of the couch. She was horrified and my husband was so mad at me.
Poor Benjamin didn’t know what he had done.

Sir Loki of the Narrow Alleys is a Big Boy, but he is really just an attention seeking softie 🙂 He has very good bedside manners and knows that nothing is so hard to resist in the morning as a purring cat wanting a belly rub. Well, I managed to get up in time anyway.
The mini meet was fabolous, but far too short. I hope to be back in the future.
…the only downside is the 1,5 kg I put on… the food was also mostly fabolous. Paella a la Casa Az, octopus carpaccio….
