It was just over a year ago that I mentioned over here that I’d just got my first glowing review on Trip Advisor for my Sevilla Tapas Tours.
Well, as of last week I am now up to ten! Which may not seem like a lot when you consider it’s fewer than one review a month, but I’m actually very pleased about it. For me each tour is quite unique and personal so getting positive feedback like that really means a lot, and inspires me to “keep up the good work”.
What inspires you with your work?
That’s great! Even when people like something, they don’t often respond by following through with reviews. Thus 10 reviews seems pretty cool 🙂

I know what you mean. Lots of times people have said that they really loved the tour and that they’d write something on TA but then never did. I think once you’re back from holiday it’s easy to forget stuff like that.

Well you know I loved our tapas tour, and was happy to add my “two cents” to Trip Advisor!

I love it when people turn around in the doorway and say “Wow… I feel great!!!!”
And now and then, the “bartender” side of being a massage therapist comes into play — when people just need someone to listen. Everything about what I do telegraphs “safe space” and sometimes it is the only place people can vent about things that are really eating them. It’s not all about the muscles, and it keeps me going.

Yeah, I used to sometimes do “therapy English classes”. I think there is also something “safe” about someone outside your personal life who you are paying to listen, but of course it all depends on how good a listener you are. I imagine we are probably both quite good at that.
