As much as I enjoy the ease of getting up and dressed on summer mornings, slipping out of a loose nightdress and into a light cotton house dress, there’s something nice about snuggling up under a quilt (with cats). Also, I REALLY love this quilt. This is still pre-duvet weather, which means I am still in sandals (yay!) and comfy in a light t-shirt and yoga pants at home. But soon I’ll be all bundled up inside, like a good Sevillana.

It’s raining here in the sunny UK Midlands, and very blowy. But really mild. This is my least favourite weather as I need to bundle up in wellies & a waterproof coat to walk the dog but I’m sweating 5 minutes into it! Roll on the frost.

Yeah, that neither here nor there temperature drives me crazy too. Though I prefer to underdress for it. Waterproof coats are the worst for sweating as they can’t breathe.

We’ve definitely hit the “human heat generator” time of year. Cats that wandered off to secret cat places in the night are now gummed to me like furry band-aids when I try to turn over in bed. I still crack the windows a little in the daytime though.
