Luna’s birthdate is a guestimate, of course. When I first took her in (Sept 2011) I thought she was only about 6 weeks old but later the vet said she was more like 3-4 months, just tiny from being malnourished living in the streets. She has since filled out nicely as you can see.
Happy Birthday lovely Luna 🌙!

Happy birthday Luna.
She looks so contented in that pic, basking in sunlight.

I remember thinking at the time what an interesting-looking cat she was, with her little thief’s mask and vaguely Meezer coat. She’s loving her sunbeam.

She ate like such a pig those first couple of months (not used to having regular meals) that she got a massive distended belly… later when it subsided she ended up with a big floppy belly droop. I blame myself. But she doesn’t care. Her fur is actually quite long and looks a bit dishevelled these days, but it’s really super soft, much softer than the other two. She loves her belly rubs, but only in bed with me, in the mornings, when she feels like it.

Some cats just have floppy belly droops. Our Mystery does and he’s never stopped eating.

Morcilla is my only cat that never developed a droop. She’s as thin and nimble as when she was just a little sausage. Luna’s droop, on the other hand, is like she is wearing long swaying skirts, and are magnificent in their own way.
