I have seen SO MANY bad menu translations over the years, always a cause for amusement. But this one totally takes the cake. Thanks Victor for sending this to me. It’s fabulous.
For non-Spanish speakers the empadronamiento is the census.
This happens to me with Chinese food in the places where you can get the “real Chinese menu” if you ask, with things like Szechuan tripe. etc. One memorable one offered “Fried Balls” (pretty sure this was some sort of minced pork meatball thing) and a Whole fish dish identified as “Fried Crap.”
Electoral Roll might be a variety of sushi.

I’ve actually seen (well, a typo) “crap on a stick” on a menu…I was told it was a typo for crab and it would cost too much to re-print the menus, so…

Ooooh I just remembered one from Tokyo. It’s from a restaurant that specialises in loach (the fish). But they constantly screw up the spelling and write “ROACH SPECIALS”…
