What a week. A whole seven days of being so sick I’ve barely been able to eat. By the time I got to Sunday I was feeling very weak and decided I had to start force-feeding myself or I wasn’t going to get better. This is my entire food intake since last Thursday (last proper meal).
Friday – piece of toast with honey (unfinished)
Saturday – bowl of shredded wheat cereal (unfinished)
Sunday – cooked ham on toast
Monday – cooked ham on toast
Tuesday – grilled cheese sandwich (brunch), bowl of mashed potatoes (early dinner)
Wednesday – scrambled egg sandwich (brunch), air-fried potatoes with melted cheese (early dinner)
Well okay, aside from this I drank a bottle of lemonade over Friday-Saturday and there were a couple of late night yoghurts (can’t remember exactly when). And I kept drinking water. So at least I was staying hydrated.
Anyhow, tomorrow I am determined to have a vegetable! I mean one that isn’t a potato. Because this food aversion has just been weird. I feel a bit better than over the weekend but still feeling far from okay, even with the meds I got on Monday. But at least today and yesterday I’ve been able to stay vertical most of the day and didn’t go to bed at 6.30 pm. Progress!
Ugh and ugh. What is it about this last couple of weeks? I’ve been having a reaction to tree pollen that rivalled the Taiwanese flu and has lasted longer (but conspicuously followed the pattern of spring allergies). I love my n95s even more. Gack across the sea, my friend. We’ll get through this.

Sounds dreadful. Am sure the n96s are helping a lot, even if it may seem like it. Yeah, one day at a time here. Going on week two tomorrow. And it looks like Peter has just come down with it too.
