I passed this house the other day and felt pangs of longing, remembering how wonderful it was when I also had orange trees blossoming in front of my balcony windows. Ah well… azahar season is almost over now, with the returning RAIN blasting most of the blossoms off the trees. But as always, it was amazing while it lasted.

Ten days ago I was painting my toenails and wearing sandals. Since then the weather has been “variable” to say the least. The past two days I’ve even had to put the heat on again. I know I’ll be complaining about the HOT weather before long, but it would sure be nice not to have to wear tights and shoes.

Along with the azahar blossoming this week it was also my first time wearing sandals this year (!!!). Which required a quick paint job on the ol’ toes – very slapdash as you can see, but it was okay for an evening out. So now I am thinking of getting a professional pedicure to fix this mess and also to prep my feet for the hardships of a long hot summer. If anyone local can recommend a good place to go that would be great. I’ve never done this before!

My favourite time of year! The azahar started blossoming this week and now the whole city smells like heaven. I do miss having orange trees in my street, but it’s also a good “excuse” to get out for walks. Wish you guys could smell it.
