It was the best trip of my life.
Susan and I left on Friday morning to drive down to Tarifa and catch the fast ferry (35 minutes) to Tangier. We got there in plenty of time to have coffee and toast at the aptly named Carpe Diem café, and then made our way to the port across the street. When Pip and I were in Tangier this past (long) weekend we ate at the Hamadi Restaurant twice. They have a wonderful group of musicians there who play delightful music while you dine. This was taken on our second visit – the guys already “knew” us by then and were happy to appear in a video. I told them I was going to make them famous. 🙂

Pip and I are stranded in Tangier!
The ferries were cancelled due to high winds yesterday and so we came back into town to try and get a room at our hotel – but they were fully booked! After looking around a bit we ended up at a rather scary place down by the port (more on that later). It’s still VERY windy out there this morning, but we are off to the ferry station again to see if we can get home today.
