I know it looks pretty but holy fuck is it hot. Most days this past week have been from 5-9 degrees hotter than the average for this time of year. Nine degrees hotter is a lot of degrees! It’s starting to come down a bit (from 42º to 37º) but only “cools” down to about 25º overnight. Someone on Bluesky said they wondered how I live here in this heat and I said I am sensible and mostly stay home with the AC on. I like to think I’ve convinced at least a few people NOT to come here for a summer holiday. We need our water supply and electrical grid intact (and for us!). ☀️ 🔥

Honestly the weather is so nuts. Storms constantly raging through. Here’s water pouring out of the cathedral today. And then as quickly as it comes, it stops. Looking forward to some good laundry drying weather over the next few days. And also going out for a hobble tomorrow! First time out in about ten days (hospital visit doesn’t count).

After weeks of non-stop rain it’s finally gorgeous Blue sandal-wearing weather and I’m stuck at home in bed with… something. Covid-Flu tests have so far come back negative. So all I can do is enjoy the blue vicariously (well, or look out the window). This pic was taken while hobbling home on Monday on my way for a pedi. Dammit, was totally going to wear sandals today. Anyhow, more later. Being vertical isn’t really much of an option at the moment.
