Another fab time meeting Twitter pals, in this case Cathy and her husband Mark (who are also friends and Algarve neighbours of Yin & Phil who I met a couple of weeks ago). Anyhow, this was a flying visit for them but we managed to fit in a penúltima (or three) at my local bar down the street before they headed off for dinner. Since Cathy and I have “known” each other for years it was like meeting up with an old friend. Hope they’ll be back soon.

And don’t even get me started on some of the haunting images that sometimes take all day to shake off. And so I wondered… are happy dreams a myth? Does anyone have happy dreams any more? Did we ever? How about you?

As most of you probably know I shut down my tours early July in an attempt to minimize risk and remain Covid-free. And so far that seems to be working. God knows I couldn’t afford to do this, but there is also no way I want to contract either Covid or MonkeyPox (another huge worry) and so I’ve been keeping my distance. Continue reading
