Back on January 3rd 2009 I posted my first Photohunt entry. The theme that week was “hope” and I put up a photo of my daybook turned to January 3rd 2010 with the words “STILL HERE!” written on it. Since then I have posted a new version of this hopeful photo every year on this date, but this year when I turned the pages to find January 3rd 2013 I saw that it stopped on January 2nd (!!!), which seemed a bit ominous…
But, ever resourceful, I have used the January 2013 planning page for this year’s pic. And, ever hopeful, I wish with all my heart to see you all here next year!

Did you buy your calendar from Mayans?

Ha, that’s what Peter said. But it really did freak me out for a minute when I turned the page and… no January 3rd! Usually the day book includes the first week of January, but I guess this time the 1st and 2nd fit on the reverse side of the last page so they decided that was enough.

Happy New Year! My year will be brighter knowing that you are still around and I hope to make it back down south (well, actually east from where I am now). Enjoy Malaga!

Really missing you here in Málaga. Last time Peter was here was that Christmas trip. Haven’t seen the town lit up at night yet as we stuck close to home last night, meeting a previous tapas tour client for dinner near the apartment. So weird – she’s from Israel and took a tour with me last April. Then her husband surprised her with a trip to Málaga for her birthday (!!!) so they are here. Anyhow, it was nice seeing her again.

Wow, I can see how that would have been a shock. No matter what your intelligence tells you, I think there’s a bit in all of us which looks for significance in little things.
It’s really mild here in the UK at the moment – is it mild in Malagar? As in mild enough to risk a toe dipping?

I am confident – as always – all the best to you and the Cattery for 2012.
