If you haven’t been to Azahar’s Kitchen for a while, go check it out. New recipes have been added and #homecooking photos are also posted on my azahar Instagram account (along with cats and city pics). I was actually quite excited about this new spinach with garbanzos version. A bit like making it up as I went along, but it turned out great. Honestly, making lunch has become the highlight of my day.

I love this dish! We had it a few nights ago with local sausages!

The only “problem” was that I ended up eating it for three days! With different things on the side. But there are worse things…

We’re having the same experience. Only it’s dinner, just because once I’ve had the nice meal I just want to veg out, you should pardon the expression.Last night it was a signature dish I’ve developed: thin sliced shiitakes and onions braised a few minutes in garlic, ginger and hot sambal sauce, sometimes with shredded cabbage, rice noodles that have already soaked fried in it for another minute with soy sauce, then just enough water to avoid boiling dry and broccoli florets, cover for two minutes until the broccoli is bright green, sesame oil drizzle. You throw on any palatable fake mmeat nugget to get protein in it, because that’s me, but a meat eater would probably want to do ground pork or sliced chicken breast cooked through before the noodles go in. I laid into the sambal sauce last night and felt radioactive for a half hour afterward. Dry Riesling.

That sounds amazing. Yeah I was a bit over generous with the whole chillis in the olive oil. Sinuses and probably lungs all cleaned out now.
