The We Love Tapas family continues to grow! Say hola to our latest lovely team members Nell, Mario and Elena. So along with Mila that makes four and I honestly couldn’t be happier with these guys. It’s funny how my WLT team always seems to find me, a bit like cats. Anyhow, there’s still some training to do but I have a good feeling about this new team.

So remember how I couldn’t go to the posh do last night because I was being responsible and taking care of business? Well, turned out my tapas tour finished in time for me to pop over and catch the tail end of the event – also helped that it was about five minutes away from our last tapas bar. So I popped over! Met up with a few friends and acquaintances, had a couple of glasses of cava and then shared a taxi home with my neighbour Mónica. Also – bonus! Got a swag bag on the way out. So kind of a win-win. And I think I may have set the wheels in motion for my next biz idea (fingers crossed, more later) so if that works out it’ll be a win-win-win.

So this popped into my Instagram DMs. Unexpected positive feedback like this is always lovely. Of course I’m sorry they didn’t have a great experience in Paris, but it’s nice to know that I’m fondly remembered.

This is Mila! And I am very happy to welcome her to the We Love Tapas team. We had a great afternoon out today visiting bars, tasting tapas and wine, and talking non stop. I think she’s going to be a fabulous addition to the family.

So this came about with a bit of luck and happenstance (and a lot of work on my part!). Back in April I was contacted by two guys in London who were planning a stag weekend in Sevilla for their friend BUT they assured me they were cultured serious people who loved good food and wine and were hoping I could provide them with a “classy stag evening”. To be honest I had shut down at the word “stag” since I do not do that sort of thing but then they won me over, especially after one of the guys told me “and we like to read!”. There would be ten of them. What could I come up with?
First of all, I don’t do groups of ten. I seldom even reach my limit of six. Usually I take out 2-4 people at a time because that’s how I like it and that’s also how I think my guests will have the best experience. But this wasn’t a food and wine tour… it was a challenge. What could I offer ten cultured and well-read wine lovers? In the end I think what I put together was quite amazing. And it turned out that the guys were all amazing too.
