airfryer accessories

I finally caved and bought some accessories for The Storm Cooker. The problem has been that they always come in packs and most (okay all) have things I don’t need or want. This is the closest assortment I found that had most of what I wanted (though my air fryer already came with a skewer rack, so now I have two) and as it’s the January Sales I got a good price. ALSO… my oven started acting up over Christmas, blowing the fuse box when I tried to use it, so for now I am more reliant on the air fryer than before. Now I can cook things with sauces, etc. Have missed my oven over the winter though. Hoping it’s just an internal fuse or something else simple, but for now that repair will have to wait until I get back to work. Anyhow by March it’ll be too warm to use the oven, so might hold off until after the summer. Meanwhile, going to have some fun with these guys.

tornado cloud

Crossing the bridge to Triana the other day these curious “tornado” clouds caught my eye. I tried to get a bit closer but there was too much traffic on the bridge. But you can see them bottom left hand corner. When I posted this photo on Twitter I was told that these are called cirrus clouds and are made of ice! (fuck I still love Twitter). Anyhow, aren’t they cool?

zoom class

This week I started doing English conversation zoom classes with my winemaking friend Vicente, who lives in MΓ‘laga. He had first asked about this in December because he and his wife Ana (also a winemaker) don’t get much opportunity to practice their English. And it’s great! I don’t have the pro version of zoom so we are limited to 40 minutes, but that’s actually a good amount of time just for chatting. It would be great to get a few more of these classes happening, just need to get the word out there.
