I passed this house the other day and felt pangs of longing, remembering how wonderful it was when I also had orange trees blossoming in front of my balcony windows. Ah well… azahar season is almost over now, with the returning RAIN blasting most of the blossoms off the trees. But as always, it was amazing while it lasted.

Well, that’s it for another year. Semana Santa was quite a different experience for me this year as it was the first one since moving to the new Casa Azahar. From this location other processions were closer to me, so I found myself seeing a few I had never seen before. And my mission – to get a few pics of at least one or two processions each day – was accomplished. In retrospect I should have edited and filed the photos every evening because going through them all now was a bit overwhelming. I know we need the rain, but it’s so hard to wish for it when the sky is this beautiful (and I can still wear sandals!). I was thinking that Anna @annalibera would bring rain with her from Galicia when she visits next week (like she usually does!), but they are in the middle of a drought up there so who knows what will happen.
A quick check back (my goodness this daily blog posting thang is useful 😉 ) shows me that I didn’t have to start wearing tight & shoes until November 7th last year, so there are probably still a couple of weeks of sandal weather left.
