azahar’s forum
My new Seville forum will “go live” tomorrow, which means that I’ll be announcing it on Sevilla Tapas, Twitter, Facebook…
Before that happens, please feel welcome to visit the site and then offer any last-minute feedback here. It may not seem like it but quite a lot of work went into making this forum look a bit more personal … this is the orginal forum template. There are still a few tweaks I want to make (and it is not working well on IE – no surprise there), but for the moment I just want to be sure that people find it user-friendly, easy to navigate, etc.
Oh, and also let me know if you found it easy to register. 😉

I am incredibly interested in your new forum. Not only the food value but because I just started a forum for a growing library system and I’m learning how to run the thing real time.
One thing I was advised to do by a tech support guy was “lock” the welcome forum itself. I also added a “general questions” category with another message from me to encourage contributions that might not have a category or forum yet but it’s a place for people to start new topics.
Good luck on this forum. I’ll be lurking and learning from you, as I often do.

Yep, already have the welcome forum locked (I also lock my pages here). And the starter topics in the other three forums I started suggest that people start their own new topics. But I think a general questions & suggestions forum is a good idea – will look into that.
First I have to finish writing the Forum pages for Sevilla Tapas and azahar-sevilla that explain what it’s all about. And try to fix the IE glitch. Oh, and it’s driving me bonkers that I can’t find where to change my name (as admin) to a colour other than RED. I managed to change all the other link colours, but can’t find that one anywhere in the CSS. Just like I can’t find the border (want it to be a darker green like it is here).
But getting the thing rolling is my main concern. Wish me luck!

I am very behind you in the tech aspects of this yet. Thankfully, we are just getting started ourselves.

Looks good. You’re using the default theme, I think. If you’d like some help with changing the look (like, having your own logo up there, perhaps bringing the margins in) send me an email. After the HOURS I spent farting around with the style (theme) I downloaded I may be able to help, and save you a lot of time. It isn’t actually hard, you just have to know where to look and what to change.
And now … go sign up already!
