Hello new Mephistos! It’s not quite sandal weather here, mostly because I haven’t had time to do a proper pedicure and paint the nails, but these are my newest sandals, freshly arrived via online purchase. It’s been so long since I’ve been able to find some cheerful RED Mephistos, so this year I’ve opted for silver. And they fit like… well, really well-fitting sandals. Cute too.

This has been on my mind for some time. Actually for quite a long while, ever since they released the iPhone 6 last year. But by the time I started seriously thinking about upgrading (this past spring) a client told me to wait until they released the iPhone 6S in September. Which actually ended up being in October, but whatever.
It was released. I looked. I wanted. I bought it today. Hello Pippin IV! My lovely Pippin III now looks rather chubby and clumsy in comparison. And there really wasn’t anything wrong with III, but I was keen to get a larger screen and also that sexy camera everyone has been talking about. Plus I’m sure there are other options that I will discover I can’t live without. So yeah. My brand new iPhone. I’m already in love…

Bazar Victoria – one of my favourite places in town – was forced to close its doors after more than 100 years because the fucking bank wants to use the premises for something else. Despite public outcry this piece of living local history ended up having to change location over the summer and they reopened this week a couple of streets away. So I stopped in today and was happy to see that it’s still a great shop full of fabulous clutter and I decided I should finally buy myself a mortar & pestle. Isn’t it beautiful?
I have actually been considering one of these for ages but always wondered if it would just end up collecting dust. So while Paula was wrapping up my purchase I asked her if she remembered the time I almost bought one. And she said… “You mean the time I took every one we had out and showed them all to you?”. Erm… yep. That time. 🙂

So I went out for a few groceries this evening and ended up with a new TV! And lucky I have this blog because I was wondering when I bought the last one and a quick search told me it was in May 2008. There’s not anything particularly wrong with the old one, and this one isn’t much bigger (40″ instead of 32″) but it has WiFi and other snazzy features. I’m still not 100 percent sure what tricks this one does and will have to wait until Thursday to find out. Does any of this make sense to you?
