Was about to go upstairs to bring in some laundry, poked my head outside the balcony and saw this! View was nice from the rooftop too.

Kath (@kittyd66) and I have been following each other on Twitter/Instagram for a while now and when she and her husband Tony came back to Sevilla for a visit this week (their 7th!) she got in touch with me about an “off the beaten track” tour since they already knew the city and its bars quite well. And so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to suggest our new We Love Tapas Magical Mystery Tapas Tour with José, with a plan to meet up with them later on during their visit for a cervecita. Well, they loved the tour and did indeed go to places they didn’t know existed, then I met them today for a fabulous lunch at La Brunilda – another first for them. It was a fun afternoon and, as always, lovely to meet another “Twitter pal” in person at last. Pretty sure they’ll be back.

This makes me happy. Our health minister has announced that the mask mandates presently in place will continue until at least next spring. This means that masks must be worn everywhere inside (except when you are seated at a table eating or drinking) and – listen up people! – you can go without a mask outdoors ONLY IF YOU MAINTAIN 1.5 METRES BETWEEN YOU AND EVERYBODY ELSE. It’s this last one that hasn’t been adhered to since the tourists starting piling back into Spain. And yes, some locals also flout this rule, but it is mostly tourists. Anyhow… this is a huge relief. I’m glad we’re not going the way of the US and UK on this one. 😷
By the way, these are the masks I’ve been buying. Locally made by Daysan and excellent quality, about 10€ for 50 masks. Time to place another order…

I once again share this classic video called Modulo 036. Why? Because today I was totally blind-sided by fucking Modulo 600. I should have seen it coming. Why? Because things were going WAY TOO SMOOTHLY. Here’s what happened. I very erroneously (also very expensively) started up a limited company (SL) here in 2005, when I set up my first (and last) online shop in order to sell my first (and last) line of lovely linen clothing designed by me. I found out much later and too late that I could have just run the company as a self-employed person, not an entity. Whatevs. I decided to just put it behind me and forget about it. Turned out that was a mistake. Continue reading
