Had fun at the ABC Premios Gurmé on Wednesday. Got to meet up with old friends, meet some new ones, and wear my snazzy boots. Best of all, Ignacio (lower centre pic) told me that when I pick up my award next week that I won’t have to go up on stage and make a speech. Yay!

Arpy @andalucinda will be so proud. Not only did I buy a pair of sandals this past week… I bought two! I picked up those very sensible Mephistos in Málaga, and today I finally ended my search for the elusive cute red sandal. Seriously, NOBODY is making cute red sandals anymore. I almost got these red Mephistos a couple of years ago – ordered them online but then it turned out they were out of stock. So I’ve basically been without red sandals all this time, if you can imagine. But I’m all stocked up now and looking forward to lots of comfortable walking for the rest of the summer (well, actually until the end of October).

Nope, I didn’t name these. Camper did. Boots called Agatha (which is also the name of one of Sledpress‘s cats). Anyhow, I went out for a walk with no destination in mind (always dangerous) and decided to look in a few shoe shops since Winter is Coming (though you wouldn’t know it by the recent 30º temps). What I had in mind was a simple pair of flat black slip-ons and somehow ended up with these. I think I love them.
Up on my rooftop terrace yesterday afternoon after a long (and dusty) walk.
