I have been very busy! The first step of getting my Trip Planning biz up and running meant having rethink my “brand” and, while I am still going to continue with azahar-sevilla.com and Sevilla Tapas, I felt some restructuring was needed so the new venture would not be city specific. Thus azahar-spain.com was born. The new domains have already been purchased and now I just (just!) have to get the new website and accompanying blogs set up. Most of the initial content is ready to upload but I want to talk to my SEO guru first to make sure I structure it correctly.
The easiest step was creating new social media accounts for the blogs, so please go ahead and follow/Like them. Thanks! 🙂

Behold my new Facebook business page for Sevilla Tapas! Thing is, shortly after starting up this page as a personal profile almost seven years ago I realised I had “oopsed” and it should have been what was then known as a Fan Page. Awhile later I did start up a page and tried to get all my “Friends” to shift over, but nobody did, so I kept on with my illicit Sevilla Tapas Profile Page. Until today. I saw somewhere that in the past year Facebook made it possible to “migrate” from profile to biz page without losing “Friends”. But this didn’t include content. Which in my case meant five years of content that I’d lose. But I decided what the hell and did the migration this morning, maintaining over 5000 followers and losing all my posts. I don’t think that actually matters since I don’t think people really look through the history of a page. Better to have the followers. And so if you haven’t “liked” Sevilla Tapas yet, go right ahead…

Okay, I finally gave in and opened an Instagram account. A kinda “if you can’t beat em…” thing but I’m also kinda enjoying it. So I owe apologies to both Lizzie and alejna for previously giving them grief about using such an awful platform with its over-saturating filters, blah blah. Turns out you don’t have to use any filters and latest updates include being able to straighten the image and probably some other stuff I haven’t noticed yet. I still prefer spiffing up my photos using Picasa, which is very basic but enough for what I need – cropping, straightening, lightening. But Instagram is something that I can also link to Twitter and the dread Facebook (which now owns Instagram – surprise!). Anyhoodle, here is my newish Instagram account. You’ll notice I don’t use any filters on the food pics, and neither should anyone else…

Almost two years ago I wrote about discovering Google + and how cool I thought it was… and here I am still not knowing what the fuck to do with it.
This is disturbing. Especially as I’d originally hoped that G+ would mark the end of the dreaded Facebook, but no.
But what is even more disturbing is that I can’t figure the damn thing out. It is not intuitive. And I can’t see why I would spend time using this social media tool that – so far – seems redundant.
Meanwhile, people keep adding me to their G+ circles (though I have yet to be invited to a Hangout – thank god, since I have no idea what that is or how it works).
So, help?
Anyone want to give me a G+ class on Skype?
