Twitter strikes again. Though this time is was more of an indirect hit as Heather and Eric are old friends of my neighbour Robert Warnock @warnock.robert and they got in touch through him about a tapas tour. I was booked already for the week, or as booked as I can be right now, but we decided to just meet up for a quick beer and a tapa… which then morphed into a lovely lunch. And with Robert joining us! I’ve known Robert via social media for at least a couple of years, recently finding out that we live about 10 minutes away from each other, and he is even one of my Patreons (helping to keep my Sevilla Tapas website going)… and yet we had still never met until now. So what a great time, and so nice to have finally met Robert in person.

inSherry Week has arrived! And my Sevilla Sherry Tasting is being offered on the international website. But then this morning I woke up and thought… do I really want to do that Instagram sherry pairing thing AGAIN? It began by accident last year and it ended up being quite a nice thing, helping people pair different dishes with different sherries, which I have stored here on my Instagram stories. But it was also a fuck of a lot of work! Choosing the 6 wines, then which 3 dishes I would pair with each one, then hunting down photos and finally writing the text and uploading everything not just on my Instagram page, but also to the stories, and later to Twitter… omg. Anyhow, as you can see, I’m doing it again. So PLEASE GO CHECK IT OUT! π

Kath (@kittyd66) and I have been following each other on Twitter/Instagram for a while now and when she and her husband Tony came back to Sevilla for a visit this week (their 7th!) she got in touch with me about an “off the beaten track” tour since they already knew the city and its bars quite well. And so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to suggest our new We Love Tapas Magical Mystery Tapas Tour with JosΓ©, with a plan to meet up with them later on during their visit for a cervecita. Well, they loved the tour and did indeed go to places they didn’t know existed, then I met them today for a fabulous lunch at La Brunilda – another first for them. It was a fun afternoon and, as always, lovely to meet another “Twitter pal” in person at last. Pretty sure they’ll be back.
