The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) Global Summit is the world’s most influencial travel and tourism event and I’m thrilled to have been invited as one of the local delegates.

It’s hard to believe it’s been ten years since I met these guys. This week Jeanine and Juan, the husband and wife team behind La Azotea, are celebrating ten years since they opened their first bar/restaurant in calle JesĂşs del Gran Poder. Since then they have opened three more, as well as having two children, and they also run a successful catering business. Well done, you two, and happy 10th anniversary!

The Taberna del Alabardero is presenting their new pairing menu and I was lucky to be invited to the preview today. The food was prepared by chef Carlos Mitchell with wines provided by Bodegas Gonzales Byass, and master wine blender Antonio Flores was on hand to add his special poetic touch to the presentation.
Food was delicious, wines were lovely and at 35 euros (five courses including wines!), this tasting menu can’t be beat. If you’re in Sevilla be sure to check it out from March 20th to April 14th.
