The downside of travelling for me is missing this little girl so much. I mean, I do miss the other two as well, but somehow I just can’t be away from my Morcilla. Though of course this makes coming home again all the better… my own bed, my cats, my STUFF. It’s all good.
What do you miss the most when you travel?

I was so excited when I first got Netflix, thinking it was going to open up a whole world of digital viewing possibilities. But the selection – at least in Spain – is so dire that I gave it up after my six-month free trial was over (this week). And so now I’ve gone back to Movistar, which I ran screaming from over five years ago after I moved house and they royally screwed me over. But hey, times change. And Movistar seems to have a good deal going on, especially since they merged with Canal+. So I’ll try it out and see how it goes. I already like the interface better, much more intuitive. Also got Yomvi set up so I can watch my channels on the iPad when I’m away. Yeah, I know. But it’s fun news for me. Still have the same cord-chewing issues going on though…

So the IKEA Tale of Woe wasn’t all bad, because I did end up getting this sofa-bed thingy for upstairs, which I’ve been wanting to do since January. And it looks much nicer than before, especially since Peter is now sleeping upstairs (his former room downstairs is now a much needed utility room). So by day it doesn’t look so much like a bedroom upstairs, and he can also use it as an office (there’s a table out of shot, under a window to the right). Morcilla likes it too!

Loki shows us how it’s done.
Loki with his favourite toy. Figures. He is such a dog that one.
