Picked up Sexy Beast from computer hospital yesterday, all shiny and freshly repaired. The previous day Susan (aka Pipocas) had dropped off an extra printer she had at home and won’t be taking back to the US when she moves next month. The printer on my 3-in-1 machine had been broken for ages but the scanner still works, so now both are set up on the bookshelf unit. Compared to the old “blogging space” things are a bit more cluttered, but also much more functional. A few more shots below…

Awhile back there was a desktop “me-me” going around and at the time I posted the images I had on both Sexy Beast and my old Jaguar desktop computer. Now that I have Shadow I thought I’d post this update and maybe see what others have on their desktops. Because Shadow is all charcoal grey and black I opted for something very bright and colourful.  It’s the full image of one of the rotating headers I have on azahar’s Sevilla.  Makes me smile.

Following on the heels of my third blog anniversary, today is another anniversary of sorts. A year ago today I woke up feeling awful, with terrible stomach cramps. At first I put it down to having had a bit too much vino with my friend Judy the night before. Little did I know that my life was about to totally change forever. Not its official name, but Nog always thinks of his laptop as “the brick” because it’s so heavy and solid. Anyhoo … the other day I went to Fnac to see about getting an invoice for the iPhone so I could get a VAT refund – unfortunately I was too late and they wouldn’t give one to me. But then I noticed a sign behind the counter that said “Micro Clinica” and had a list of prices for basic computer repairs …
