Seriously the stupidest most waste-of-money sign translations ever. They’re all over Sevilla now, and aside from them being totally unnecessary, and often not translated at all, some of them are real howlers.

Mark it in your calendar! The fourth International Sherry Week is coming up soon, and as always, I’ll be offering my Sherry & Tapas Tours for anyone who would like to learn more about these fabulous wines. You’ll be able to see all the Sherry Week events on the website as they are registered, so you can check to see what’s happening in your part of the world.
Also something very cool this year – you can win an exclusive place at the highly coveted Certified Sherry Educator course in 2018, which was truly one of the most special experiences of my life.

This makes me so sad. For as long as I’ve lived here (and probably much longer) there has been a stork nest on top of that chimney. And then suddenly there wasn’t. I have no idea why they would rip out a decades-old nest, especially as the building – the Atarazanas – isn’t actually in use. Does anybody know why this happened? It was always such a joy to see the majestic stork couple up there. 😦

There is something very satisfying about chillaxing with Loki. And even though it’s far from winter, he still demands some lap and snuggle time, especially when I put my feet up to watch some TV. Anyhow, here’s a nice profile shot showing his big green eyes (well, eye) just for Deb.

The last time Sara & Steve were in Sevilla was five years ago, though I have met up with them in London twice since then. Much has changed since their last visit, including lots of new tapas bars for them to try out. Here they are after our fab lunch at Palo Santo… I’m really looking forward to spending time with them over the next week or so, possibly even taking a day trip to Jerez.
