Twitter pal Abigail King found this little guy plus its all black sibling on her doorstep today. Says they’re both about the size of her hand. They need a home. I have extra space. Okay, I wouldn’t take both, but maybe the all black one…?

Yesterday I made a fabulous (if I say so myself) lunch for my friend Del (aka @WeeRascal) who was in town from Scotland for a few days of much-needed sunshine. It was a beautiful day so we sat out on the terraza and, after Del left, it felt too nice up there to come back inside. So Nog and I decided it would be a good time to let the boys come out and see what they made of the “great outdoors”. We kept a sharp eye on them, especially on Loki, and also kept an eye out for Pérez, who thankfully didn’t show up. Anyhow, they were out there for about half an hour and really loved it.

Other than the threat of Pérez turning up and ripping the boys to shreds, I’d feel quite fine about letting Azar go out on his own. I know he wouldn’t try leaping over the wall, though I’m not sure about Loki. But at least they can get out from time to time for a bit of fresh air.

He really is the love of my life, this little guy. And now that he’s getting older with his health becoming a bit fragile I extra-value every day, every waking moment, that I have with him. I found him upstairs on the red chair the other day, enjoying the light coming in through the glass door of the terraza – can’t really say he was enjoying the view as I doubt he can see much anymore because of the cataracts. But it’s a delight to watch him racing up and down the stairs, hanging out on the balconies, and even sitting out on Loki’s window ledge. There’s still quite a lot of kitten in him.

Happy birthday mi vida!

Here is the story of how I met Azar.

he’s mine!

Sometimes Loki gets very possessive about Azar, grooming and giving him cuddles. If only t’were always thus… still have to separate them when I go out in case of accidental severing of the windpipe. Ah well, at least they’re adorable together some of the time.
