This is probably as close as I’m going to get to the Feria de Abril this year. Well, other than to maybe stop by one afternoon to take horse photos. Ania and I were invited to a pre-feria event at the Taberna del Alabardero and both of us agreed that it was a much more pleasant experience than the actual feria here.

Remember when I told you that my pal Diego was being featured in an ad campaign for the Sevilla Feria & Toros this year? Well, here he is in action at Casa Morales. Last night he gave me his autograph – I think fame might be going to his head. 😉

Feria by day was very different from other my experiences over the years due to SCORCHIO temps of over 40ºC. So not only were we melting, but there were very few horses out and about (which is one of my favourite things). But better not to see them than to see them falling over from sun stroke. Next year…
