I have never liked Sundays.
This week there are three of them.
Today, tomorrow and … well, Sunday.

Got home from Málaga yesterday evening … I was so excited to see Azar again! As soon as I opened the door he started MEOWING like crazy. Then he ran under the bed and pretended to sulk. But unlike other times he only managed to sulk for about three minutes before coming out and allowing himself to be snibbled. That was when I saw that he had managed to keep himself amused during my absence by dragging clothes out from the storage boxes under the bed and making mincemeat out of a roll of paper towels that had been left on an end table in the livingroom (and not for the first time).
After much snibbling and rolling around on the bed with small black cat I started on the first of several loads of washing that need doing and then … I put up the Christmas tree! Right on schedule.
Today I’m going to work on my Málaga photos and will hopefully have them up on Fotki to show you all a bit later. It was a wonderful long weekend and great to get away, but also so very nice to be home again.

Manolo called me last weekend and said it looked like he wasn’t going to be using his Málaga apartment this long weekend after all and so it would be okay for me to stay there instead of in the Marbella apartment. Now this makes a difference! First of all, it’s quite easy and cheap to get to Málaga by train (Marbella would have been two bus rides and I had no idea about the connections) and of course Málaga is where I really wanted to go. Sure I’d still like to go to the new Marks & Spencer in Marbella and get some mince pies, but I can do that Saturday afternoon and then spend the rest of the time in Málaga. The apartment is on that jutty outy bit in the middle of the port (on the map). I’m so excited!

Remember last August when my friend Manolo offered me the use of his lovely apartment in Málaga? Nog and I spent a fabulous week there and I really fell in love with the city. I’ve been wanting to go back ever since and was especially hoping to make it there during the Christmas season as I hear they really do it up nicely in Málaga – I’m a total Christmas fool and lover of pretty fairy lights and all such festive sparkliness. But it turns out that Manolo, who lives in Seville, has been using his Málaga apartment a lot more of late and so it isn’t as available for friends as it once was. But then it turned out that there is another option …
