We ate all this and more at the Callejeando Food Fest event this weekend, resulting in a serious food coma. But it was a great afternoon and a perfect sunny day for this fabulous food event: 19 food trucks from all over Spain, local organic food growers, local wines…

Finally turned on! But ONLY turned on between 6.30 and 11.00 pm. Really? All LIGHTS OFF at 11 pm when the streets are still full of people, locals and holiday merry-makers alike? It makes me sad when I’m walking home after a Sevilla Tapas Tour to see the Christmas lights turned off… in Málaga they stay on until 2 am!
flamenco intimo

Last night I was invited to attend the launch of a new intimate venue at the Museo del Baile Flamenco. The room is long and low and seats 45 people in two rows, so there isn’t a bad seat in the house. And as you can see, there is also no stage (making it difficult to take photos) but I enjoyed the cosy ambiance. I also liked that it was totally accoustic – unplugged flamenco! It’s really as close as you can get to a peña with a professional show and I plan to start incorporating it into my Flamenco & Tapas Tours.

Our first We Love Tapas info brochures have arrived! Designed by the lovely and talented Aldara @AldaraAS, they’ll be given to clients at the end of their tour. Inside are food translations, recommended tapas bars and a city map. We always give people extra info by email, but this is something they can carry around with them. Lots of changes coming up for WLT for 2016 – watch this space!
